Design, Architecture, and the Beauty of Wood — United in Every Piece

We are Z Map Design, a family-driven design studio where art, architecture, and craftsmanship come together. I am Gizem Şenel Öztunç – an architect, designer, traveler, wife, and mother of two from Turkey. Inspired by the textures, stories, and colors of the cities I visited around the world, I decided to transform these impressions into timeless wooden map artworks and share them with people everywhere.

Together with my husband Haluk and my sister-in-law Bahar, we have been creating original designs in our studio for over 8 years, using the latest industrial technology combined with traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is carefully designed to bring warmth, elegance, and meaning into your living spaces.

Our signature works are custom wooden maps of any place in the world – designed as wall art, table decor, or magnets. If the city includes a sea or lake, we craft it with four layers: laser-cut plywood streets, a colored landscape layer, unique epoxy resin water details, and a plywood background, all framed in colored wood. For land-only maps, we design with two detailed layers framed in solid wood. Every map can be customized with your choice of colors and even personalized with a message or date on the back.
